A haiku a day...

Here's another week's worth of my daily haiku offerings. Little slices of 5-7-5 syllables to capture moments, thoughts and images before they're gone for good...

Friday
The sea today is
grey and calm, flat and dark, like
a huge concrete tomb.

Saturday
All kinds of yummy
cheese on a stick, washed down with
Strong Devon cider.

Sunday
Indigestion, a
recipe: cake, cream, wine, cheese,
Eaten in excess

Monday
The ferns are turning
golden brown: here on this hill
'twill be autumn soon

Tuesday
Sat on this swing seat
amongst the flowers, only
the bees are busy

Wednesday
The day stretches out
ahead of me, waiting to
be filled with moments

Thursday
Cold toes curl up 'neath
blankets and a hot bottle,
slowly the warmth spreads.
